Results – Photos of the 1st Competition
The first competition for the Moondog’s 2023 Cyprus Bass Tournament has taken place during the weekend of the 11th and 12th of March 2023 at Evretou and Kannaviou dams respectively. As every year, this year the two-day competition was enjoyable since, apart from the competitive part, the contestants have the opportunity to spend a weekend together in Polis Chrysochous. On the first day of the competition, at the Evretou dam, the weather was sunny. The fish were relatively active but in specific areas of the dam. On the second day of the competition, at the Kannaviou dam, strong winds and clouds prevailed, conditions that made the athletes’ efforts difficult. Fish activity was limited compared to the corresponding one in Evretou. The winner of the competition was Louis Katsantonis who also manage to catch the biggest fish of the two days, 50 cm long. Yiannis Shittas finished in second place while Pantelis Iona finished third.
