Phivos Fishing Day
On Saturday 06 of May 2023, a friendly, team fishing competition was held in memory of the former president and long-time member of our Association, ‘Phivos Papachristoforou’. The event took place at Tamasos dam, on the eve of the first year since the loss of our dear Phivos. The purpose of the event was to gather people who love fishing and spend a pleasant afternoon fishing together and at the same time, to give the opportunity to new people to have a first contact with the sport of fishing. Despite the rainy weather, the event was held as it was scheduled and was a success with more than 40 participants. The goal of the Association is for the event to become an institution and to be held every year at such a time at Tamasos dam. For the records, the winners were the team of Dmitri Brylev and Yuriy Rokatenko. Nikolas Anastasakis, Giorgos Anastasakis and Nektarios Dimitriou finished in second place, while Bambis Hatzimireos, Paris Iona, Kostas Aristidou and Haris Aristidou finished third. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and honored the memory of Phivos in this way.
