Closed dams and addition of new condition for 2026

The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research informs that due to the prolonged drought, and for the protection and restoration of fish populations, the Director decided the following:

1. The Argaka, Mavrokolympos, Lymbia, Xyliatos, Palechori and Kalopanagiotis dams are declared closed for fishing.

2. In the event that Carp, Bass, or Common Rudd are caught in any water dam, the fish must be released alive back into the dam.
