Annual General Meeting 2023

On Friday January 20, 2023, the Annual General Assembly of the Cyprus Freshwater Anglig Association was held at the Semeli Hotel in Nicosia. The Assembly this year was electoral. The Members who showed interest in participating in the new Council and met the criteria were 7, as many as the required positions, so no elections had to be held. The positions of the 7 new Council Members were determined in a session held on 26/01/2023 as follows:

President: Pantelis Iona

Vice President: Stelios Stylianou

Secretary: Konstantinos Kallis

Treasurer: Nikolas Anastasakis

Advisor: Louis Katsantonis

Advisor: Lazaros Leontiadis

Advisor: George Efstathiou

In addition, the General Meeting included a review of the activities and actions of the Association for the past year, an analysis of the financial situation of the Association for 2022 and a presentation of the activities that the Association will organize within the year. Also, issues raised by the attendees were discussed and as a small token of thanks, the Association honored its sponsors for 2022: Moondog’s, Presse Cafe Cyprus, Optical house EyeSpotCyprus, Ω My Box Mods, Dima Outdoors and the audit office The Practice. Finally, during the evening, the former President and long-time Member of the Association, Yiannis Shittas, was honored for his valuable and long-standing contribution to the Association.

At the conclusion of the General Assembly, a dinner followed, which included the cutting of the new year’s pie and the raffle of many gifts for the attendees.
