Cyprus Bass Tournament Trophy Allocation 2017 – 15/12/2017

The 2017 Cyprus Bass Fishing Championship reached its final moments with a beautiful closing ceremony which took place at the premises of the Championship’s sponsor, Moondogs Bar & Grill on Friday December 15th 2017.

The people present at the closing ceremony had the chance to watch a photographic overview of the Championship and congratulate the winners, while enjoying tasty meals and plenty of cold beer. For the record, the 1st place in the First Division was taken by Dmitri Brylev (who also won the prize for the Championship’s biggest bass) and Louis Katsantonis, with Pantelis Iona claiming the 3rd place. The winner of the Second Division was Lazaros Leontiades, with Nicholas Anastasakis finishing 2nd and Sotiris Hatzivarnavas finishing 3rd.

It should be noted that throughout the Ceremony, scenes from the Championship were being played both on the many TV screens as well as on the giant screen, along with a specially prepared video highlighting both the Moondog’s CFAA Bass Championship but also Bass Fishing in general. Thus, Bass Fishing in Cyprus was introduced for the first time to the dozens of people present at the restaurant.

The Cyprus Freshwater Angling Association would like to thank all the anglers who participated in the Championship, our judges (Phivos Papachristophorou, Yiannos Pelekanides, Rafaellos Apostolou, and Christos Anastasiades), Stefanos Mistrellides for his excellent photographs and preparation of the video, and of course our Grand Sponsor, Moondogs Bar and Grill who made it all possible.
