Children’s Fishing Day ‘Phivos Papachristoforou’ – 06/07/2024

The Cyprus Freshwater Angling Association is organizing a children’s fishing day for the Association’s members. The aim of the competition is to provide fun for the children, and at the same time to introduce them to the sport and to issues such as the love and appreciation of nature and the environment, as well as to the sport of fishing.
The event will take place at Athalassa Lake (Agios Georgios Park), on 06 July 2024 16:00. To be eligible, the children must be between 6 and 12 years old (up to 6th grade elementary school). To participate, please call at 96138686. Latest date for participation requests is the 28th of June 2024.
Every participating child must be accompanied by the CFAA member who has requested the child’s participation. When you apply for participation, please report the name and telephone number of the CFAA member as well as that of the child or children. The number of positions is limited hence, there will be a strict priority on a “first come, first served” basis, based on the date (and if needed time) of the request for participation. Due to the very limited number of participants that can be accommodated at the site, we would like to stress out that each participation request is considered a commitment. If you are not sure that you can attend the event, please do not reserve a position and not show up, as you will probably be denying the pleasure of the event to another child.
All new participating children will receive a fishing pole. Any participants that received a fishing pole in previous events must bring it with them. Barbless hooks will be provided by the CFAA. The members accompanying the children are responsible for bringing line, floats, weights, and bait (bread and/or sweet corn are more than sufficient).
Priority will be given to the CFAA existing members. We appreciate your understanding in this respect.
